Also, now the car won't start at all. Could it be that my spark plugs and wires need to be replaced?
Hello everyone, I'm a newly registered member and I am desperately seeking an answer to my problem. I just recently purchased a 2000 Ford Focus SE. It currently has around 94,000 miles on it. For the past few days, while driving my car at fairly low to normal speeds, the car has just stopped while driving, but will start right back up. It kind of feels like my gears are shifting before it dies out and also, a dash light blinks a few times. It's an exclamation point with what looks like a sun around it. I have taken it to two different mechanics, no one can find anything wrong. My owners manual said that the dash light is related to my transaxle/coolant system. The car has plenty of coolant. As a matter of fact, I've checked everything that requires fluid. My battery is good and I just don't know what else to do. Sometimes it smells like something is burning, but I have no idea of what it could be. My temperature gauge hasn't gone into the red, but it does seem like it reaches the center point quickly. If there's an answer for me, please let me know. Thanks, SRoland .....Also I can hear a noise while driving, it sounds like a ticking noise. Sounds like it comes from my air vent.
