Can someone give me a BRIEF history about italian culture??

Hello I'm Italian! Our history and our culture is much older than yours! the fact that the climate is very mild Italian has allowed the cultivation of many plants, among which there are many spices! The Romans, our ancestors, lived the banquet as a long relaxing moments in which they were eating complicated foods covered with very expensive spices and whit melodies by the lyre and flute!
also in Italy there were many noble families who had the habit of expressing not only their political power, but also their skills in the kitchen!
