I'm deciding if i should go bankrupt chapter 7 or 13 or should i go consolidate? sorta in a little less then 15 thousand in debt (car $9000, credit card $6000 and a couple lil ones) im barley making the min. payments on my payments, iv thought of bankruptcy but i was told its a bad idea and that discouraged me into doing it and others have encouraged me into doing it, well im just looking for a little more help .

i also thought of getting a loan and paying off all my bills and having just one payment (not sure if its a good idea)
OK not in debt yet but in a hard situation that i cant get out of

You probably won't be able to get a loan due to your debt/income ratio. You would not be a good risk, especially right now, after the economic chaos we are just coming out of. People with EXCELLENT credit are have a tough time getting loans with collateral.

Personally, I would go for the bankruptcy. It will wipe out all your debt and you will be able to keep your car. Of course you will have to pay a lawyer about $1,500 to do the paper work for you. And you need to get specific advice about your specific situation. Most bankruptcy lawyers give a free consultation where you will find out pretty much what they can do for you, what it will cost and what the downside would be for you.

Don't make any decisions until you do this. And don't wait. Every day you wait you are paying money you might not have to pay if you get this taken care of.
