Can someone get my credit card number if I jailbreak my ipod?

I just jailbroke my ipod touch. I did nothing else

before I go further I just wanted to make sure if it was safe to
use the app and itunes store. Can someone hack and take my information
and buy stuff charging me?

I just dont want to pay for someone elses stuff
Any one jailbreak their ipods and bough things with no problem?
