Can someone explain google android to me?

i'm getting a new phone and it will arrive in a few days, it has google android on it.

i know that you can shop online for applications on it but i went on the website and i don't understand it!

could someone please just explain the whole thing to me? thanks :)

Google launches its own operating system on which you can easily access google product at very high speed.....!
