Can someone cook without using knives?

I'm staying in an on-campus apartment complex for my freshman year. It's got a fully-fledged kitchen, but the policy prohibits any sort of weapons, including knives. Now, obviously knives aren't needed for cooking eggs or instant noodles, but how are we supposed to cook other dishes? Or do you think the policy excludes kitchen knives?

I think the policy excludes kitchen knifes, as long as they're aren't big and really sharp. But you can cook spaghetti or soup or something like that.

I would think you are allowed a kitchen knife. I use mine every single day. I can't imagine not having one. Just call and ask about the policy. Maybe there is a maximum length, and you just can't have a big chef's knife.

Empanadas are perfect for dorms, buy the premade dough from Goya. Brown some meat, onions, olives raisins, whatever you want then use that filling, dollop it in the middle of the dough and fold it over, squish the sides of the dough so it's sealed, brush some egg yolk over the dough so it's shiny, pop it into the toaster oven for around 10-15 mins, take it out and it's a handheld meaty goodness snack. You can use any type of filling, even pizza type filling with cheese and sauce, or burrito filling, beans, rice, chicken, it's the most flexible food and the dough is stored in the fridge or freezer.
