Okay so here is the story I was convicted of a felony reduced to a misdemeanor and now expunged from my record. I had my moral waivers approved in March 2009 and signed my enlistment contract in July. I was put on DEP set to leave on OCT. Out of nowhere my recruiter calls and tells me that I might not ship out because my waivers don't match my record. What happened was when I got arrested the police charged me with robbery which was a bogus charge that's why the DA threw it out the window and charged me for assault which I pleaded guilty. It turns out that even though I was never convicted of the robbery the army is making a big deal about it because my waiver was for an assault and not a robbery!! but why would it be a robbery if I wasn't convicted of a robbery?!? So now my recruiter is trying to clear things up but no matter what he tells me that most likely i wont get in, If anyone has done recruiting for the army or has army knowledge I would love to know what my recruiter is doing or what is the best way to get this cleared?? Its been a while with no answer so you guys think he is waiting for the new fiscal year in Oct 1 for a better chance of getting approved? Does anyone think this will get cleared up or that I still have a good chance of gettin in??
