Can she request a rental car even though we are not going through car insurance for...

...the accident? I was in a very minor car accident (my fault) which made no damage to my vehicle and a 3 inch scratch on the other vehicle. We decided not to go through insurance because it will be a hassle for the both of us. So she gave me an estimate for her vehicle damage which is 300 dollars. On top of that she is requesting a rental car. Do I have to pay for her rental car since we are not going through insurance? I do not want her to scam me and rent a expensive car also. Please help. Thank you
