Can sex offenders have children?

I know they obviously can have children. I'm just wondering, is it that simple? If the male offender is living with his wife, and they decide to have children, does the court get involved or anything? Does anything have to be monitored?

Sorry if my question isn't quite clear. I don't know very much about the law when it comes to this stuff, but I'm sure you'll get the jyst of it.
 
I don't know for sure, but I can bet that social services will get involved even before the child is born...and if they don't take the child immediately, there would be some sort of monitoring.
