can S1 safely be burnt with RFA?

can S1 be safely burnt with RFA & not cause aproblem with muscle motor function? please explain the function
 
You cannot burn S1, you can't burn whole disc. What would be purpose of that?

You can burn nerve root, or specific nerves inside disc (sinu-vertebral nerve e.g.).

Hi! I have had RFA at the facet joints pain nerves, at L5/S1. Was this the area you were talking about? I have also heard of people having the Sacroiliac joint pain nerves burned, but I have not done that. The RFA at L5/S1 has worked well for me for controlling pain.
