I live in a low income apartment, and am going to college full time online. Can my rent be increased from getting financial aid for school? The people above management are trying to get my information from what I got for financial aid so they can add it to my rent. Right now I pay 10% of my income, which is less than part- time work. I barely make enough to get by, and I have a 2 year old daughter. My financial aid did not go to me, because of my classes being online. It is all going to my school, so I dont understand how they can make it sound like it is an income. I am going to school for 3 years, and receive returns once every year. The returns are less than $1000. I used my first return for paying back my parents for helping me out, getting my license back, paying bills, paying gas, and paying off old unpaid tickets. Can they raise my rent or not?
