Can putting a Smaller Fuel Filter than the Original one on my car cause occasional

"Start-Dies"? I did put a Smaller one on. I notice the Fuel Pump is a little louder than it used to be. AND sometiems the car "Starts and Dies" once or Twice before running.

Runs fine, though.

Could this be why?
