Can puppies get Cradle cap (big nasty dry skin flakes) all over the body?

I have 6 puppies that are 4 weeks old, I have hand raised with a bottle because we lost the mother to Prometra. (A disease infection process of the uterus that is completely unpreventable) The puppies are tremendously healthy, eat well, eliminate well, and sleep terrific. A few days ago they developed these disgusting flakes that remind me of a newborn baby having a SEVERE case of cradle cap. I mean this is bad. I am using a fine tooth metal flea comb when I can get them to stay still and combing it out. It comes out in big nasty skin flakes. The only place on the body they don't have it is their back. The bellies and in the creases of the legs are the absolute worst. It comes off in layers. The tails look like they are peeling off in layers also. It doesn't seem painful when I comb it off until I get a piece that is kina stuck on. Any help appreciated....I don't have experience in raising pups on my own. I'm just winging it with the vet's direction. And please if you are just going to criticize me-don't answer. I'm doing my absolute best. A woman last week decided to get real nasty on here about raising my pups. Thanks to all of you for reading this!! God Bless~
excuse me for spelling pyrometra wrong. This pregnancy was not on purpose. I was on vacation and it happened when she was kenneled!!!!! So just back up and don't answer me if you don't know the facts of the case. It was just a simple internet question. Not a place where I am going to take anything I read here to heart-ESPECIALLY FROM YOU!! So shut up unless you know what I have gone through. It was not preventable in my case. And when I was told she was pregnant-I would not have aborted puppies. I'm not cruel.
I looked up mange/mites and each thing you all mentioned. It doesn't look anything like it. It just looks like flakes (like skin colored frosted flakes) I'm combine off of the skin. Thought maybe just plain dry skin, but a severe case because they don't all have it, only 4. And it ranges in severity. If you've ever seen cradle cap-that is exactly what it looks like.
