I lent a friend some money and instead of paying me back he gave me his plasma tv. Pioneer Pro-434PU i believe it is 50inches. when he gave me the tv i didnt know that it cannot power on without a media receiver, i have never heard of tv needing this source of power in order to work so it was all new to me. my problem is he didnt give me the media, only gave me the black, white and power cables for it. can i connect this tv to my laptop or pc if i buy a dvi - vga adaptor. im very confused because im not sure if both the black and white cables have to be connected to something, my pc only has one input(vga) so im not sure if getting an adaptor to connect one of the two cables to my pc will make it work. i've search some websites for answers but im currently out of luck. i've came accross this product and i noticed it has the two inputs that the plasma tv has (black and white cables) http://canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=44_689&item_id=031436 its called a StarTech USB VGA and DVI Dual Port External Video Adapter (USB2VGADVI)
