Can PHP be used to run a local exe file (as in, one on the server) on the viewer's computer? For example, if have a program that needs to be installed on your computer, would I have to have the user download the installation program, and run that to install the real program, or is there any way to automatically run the installation program on their computer without them actually downloading it (in the sense of chosing if they want to save or if they just want to open it, and if save, where to save...), instead having it just automatically opening only, no selection box? I've never done anything similar or compairable to this, so sorry if I don't have the best wording, but I'm not really sure what I'm even trying to really do, since I've never even touched the subject before... I can attempt to better explain if it's needed...
