My bf eats mostly veggies nd fruit with lean meat.So I just want to know is it safe to cook grass from outside like how we cook and eat cabbage? If not why?Is it posion?Just curious to try something new.
Ha. No, lawn grass is not a normal, edible meal.
If you want something new, try kale, bok choy or dandelion.
I don't know why grass shouldn't be eaten but I imagine it's simply not meant to be digested or enjoyed. It probably doesn't taste very good...
I guess so, but keep in mind that most grass is sprayed with pesticides which I wouldn't consider healthy. Also include the other food groups in your diet
yes you can. its hard for humans to digest though. it would be better if you blended it to make soup then it could be digested easily.
raw grass juice is better of course. or just chewing grass as cats do. but you can cook it if you want to.
The mature grass stalks and leaves are no edible since they are mostly cellulose. The seeds of many lawn grasses, like rhy grass, are edible. The sprouts of many grass plants are edible, like wheat grass.
Unless you are an ungulate and have a rumen, grass is indigestible for humans. Wheat, barley, corn and other grains aren't edible either unless they have been processed and cooked.
