Can original Xbox games still be played on the Xbox 360?

Recently Xbox LIVE support has been taken down for original Xbox games, but I was just wondering whether they can still be played on the Xbox 360 at all. Like the Campaign mode or something. Not the LIVE.

yes some of them can. but some of them cant.

they can only be played if you have an HDD hard drive... they are in the elite and original, but not the arcade. for the arcane you have to buy a new HDD hard drive

Yes the games compatible to the 360 can be played just the online wont work for any of them no more.
