Can not get mms or web after EV??

I have a V3M flashed to the Generic monster file all have been working fine untill the red EV started to show up on my phone..... Now I can rarely ever get it to dowload anything... And when It does the Ev goes back to 1x while it downloaRAB??

Is there a way I can force it to stay in the 1x mode???
 
does it have an esn or meid under the battery

if it has an esn flash the cricket monster if it doesnt flash the verizon monster and use rsd general or pst to program the wap and mms settings

u can also just load a non evdo prl for it to stay 1x
 
not with a standered prl, when i flash a phone to allow it to roam, i have to sometimes manually put a roaming prl onto the phone. there should be a non evdo roaming prl for your area.. check the stickies on the top and see if you can get that prl, then you should have no issues.

i had this issue yesterday with a slvr and it was a cricket branded one too, but for some reason it was not authenticating the EV signal correctly (browser said "Authentication Failed". I loaded the standard PRL and it worked fine.
I even called care several times to refresh the account but it did not help..
 
I actually had EV working but that was when I was using the V3c Cricket Flash, but they have the built in modem disabled....and I couldn't get my pk2Seem editor to work so i could fix it....so I switched back to the generic, I am actually wondering if I can get EVDO to work while I use it go online with my razr as my modem...I have heard of some people doing it...but they were with Verizon...I don't think we can on Cricket...that is while I still tinker with my 700p,

And SCOTTYFIREMAN, that is the Non EVDO/Roaming PRL that you need...it's the one I need, because I am in Memphis. It works just fine.
 
You can also force 1X Only without changing your current PRL in Test Mode. Quickly type in ##DEBUG from the home screen. Then hold CLR and Left Soft Key to get into Test Mode. Once in Test Mode you will see FTS at the top of an all white screen. Use the left and right soft keys to scroll through the Test Mode screens until you come to the screen where you see the two choices "HDR Pref: auto and HDR Hybr: on" among other setting. On this screen scroll down using the 4 way navigational keys until "HDR Pref: auto" is selected with an inward facing arrow and then click the right soft key to cycle though the options to change it to "HDR Pref: cdma" . Now after the change is all set click the left soft key to exit. Then you will need to once again hold the CLR and Left Soft key buttons to exit out of Test Mode. Once back on the home screen quickly type in ##DEBUG to disable Test Mode. Now you are all set and forced to 1X Only. In the future if you want to have EVDO back you will need to follow the same procedure to change "HDR Pref: cdma" back to "HDR Pref: auto" in Test Mode. I believe it will also revert back to auto if you do a OTA PRL update.

This can be done on most Motorola phones.
 
OK.... After I did this now.... my phone will go into this "Power Save" on the screen and I wont have any signal at all......

I have to go back into the test mode and then come back out of it to get it to go away....??

Any ideas???? :confused:
