can not find downloaded files from browser

Okay i have searched and searched but i cant find the mp3 ringtones i downloaded from the browser. There is no downloads folder in my sd card and i cannot search for the file in Astro. I have both astro and linda file manager. WHERE ARE THE DOWNLOADED FILES GOING? I want to transfer them to my sd card so i can free as much space in the phone. Thanks
 
if youre talking about Steel, youll find them in the Steel/Downloaded folder in the sd card. the only reason i know this is due to the fact i just asked them. they also mentioned that you should see these files in any apps as long as its a file format that is recognized. (whatever that means) i saved a .gif, but it must not be supported 'cause i still cand find a damn thing...at least via the apps.
 
no one? anybody? i seriously cant find my downloaded files from the browser anywhere. Not on the sd card i know for a fact.
 
When I download stuff from the standard browser, it saves it onto my SD card in the download folder. Just tested it.

If I try to download a file without the SD card in, or when it's mounted on the computer via USB, the browser complains that you need an SD card inserted to download files.

Therefore, I'm pretty certain that downloaded files are saved onto the SD card, and (at least with the standard browser) they're saved in the download folder.
