Can my xbox 360 hook up in HD on my tv :[?

it may be like 20 bux but go buy an HDMI cable which goes straight from the xbox 360 to your tv. Should work with no problem and HMDI is an input channel just like AV1 AV2
 
Okay so its a Toshiba 53HX71 53 in. HDTV-Ready TV

It says it can take up to 1080i and it has the R/G/B connectors but every time i set it up its just black and white fuzzy static. You can see a little and the sound is perfect, so am i compatible or am i doing something wrong or what!?!?!?

Also i switched to the switch to HD

SO PLEASE HELP
