Can my wife require me to take a drug test to see my child before any

divorce papers have been served.? My wife is bipolar and left me a few weeks ago, She took our child who is 2 and moved to her parents. I had been seeing him occasionally and we discussed split custody and visitation. We are planning on using a mediator to settle our differences as cheap and without lawyers. Now i find out that she has hired an attorney and is asking me to take a drug test to even have unsupervised time with my boy. I haven't even been served divorce papers yet and she's acting like a judge putting me in contempt. Is this even legal? Should i hire an attorney myself. I thought we could remain friends and work out the divorce ourselves. I haven't smoked weed for weeks and feel it's totally unfair for her to try and pull this. I have no drug record, i have a job and pay the bills, I pay for our son's insurance. I need to see my son, but want to be sure to give myself time to know i'm clean before i take a drug test, but don't want to wait that long to see my boy. Any suggestions?
She has horrible trust issues, is insecure, and like i said is very unstable do to bipolar disorder. I've quit smoking pot and feel like im the more fit parent of the two. Though im the male so naturally i get no rights. Can someone take your rights away before any papers or court hearing have been made? I didn't think so. This is Ephed up.
