Can my spayed cat produce milk for kittens?

Last October I rescued a month old kitten who had been very abused. Her tail was burned and her eye had been poked. She was too little for surgery so it was months of non stop care to get her big enough for surgery to remove the eye. The was a huge surgery since she was still so small but we didn't have a choice. Later on whenever she was healed she went into heat and I decided to get her spayed since she had already went through so much I didn't want her to have to go through child birth also. My husband's friend couldn't take care of two of his kittens so we took them so that our cat could have some playmates before she got too old to bond with them. She has bonded very well with them and she takes on the Mother role. We've had the kittens for about two weeks now. Then today I went to check on the cats and noticed that one of the kittens was trying to nurse from our cat. Our cat (who is a female) was just laying there like nothing was happening. I am curious if our cat can produce milk for them even though she didn't birth them. They're old enough they don't need the milk.
Thanks Kellie, I did hear about how it changes a cats personality after spaying. We were blessed though that our cat hasn't changed other than she sleeps a lot more. Still friendly as she ever was. I appreciate the info though. :)

Spaying/Neutering does not change a cat's attitude usually, but declawing can.

As for your question, I don't know for sure to be honest. She might. Sorry I was no better help.
