Hey y'all. I have a 1993 Mazda Protege with roughly 280,000 miles on it. The 'trip' meter isn't correct due to the speedometer cable being broke for years. I got that fixed a few weeks ago. The previous owner (my uncle honestly) says it might last, but then again, it might not last. I change the oil regularly, and make sure all the fluids are at the right amount. The trip is from Gaston, SC to Nicolaus, CA. I wanna go out there with my girlfriend to go to school with her and start my life over again, seeing as how I've been living in SC since I was a baby.
Good times.
I've asked people off and on about what they thought. "Just keep all the fluids up to date and change the oil once it becomes time, and all will be well." One man said to me. Another asked me if the engine has been rebuilt. No it has not...as I don't have that kind of money, and knowledge for that matter.
So, in your personal opinion, do you believe that my 1993 mazda Protege would last on a trip from South Carolina, to California. Trip milege, roughly about 2,700 (give or take). Days of Driving..probably between one and two days.
