Can my lawyer cash my check?

Allstate issued my wages check to my lawyer 9 days ago but my lawyer says that he didn't get it..i called the allstate agent and he said that he sent the check already..what i suppose to do and how i will trace the check if my lawyer cheating me..please help
and also he is asking for 20% out of my wages check..
