? can my fish have salt?

o.k. well at my local fish store it said that mollies and guppies can have a teaspoon of aq. salt for every 5 gall. of water and my tank is 10 gal. BUT my problem is is that my angelfish is in there ! so can it have aq salt too? that s my Q.
i have 1 guppy 1 mollie 1 angelfish
my angelfish is only like a inch long so basicly its a baby kinda
 
yes i have a angel fish in my tank with mollies and catfish and i have non-idozed salt added to my tank it helps keep their slimmy coat and protects their scales and fins.
 
mollies and guppies will tolerate salt but mollies grow quite big and need a 20 gallon minimum.

angelfish are not suitable for a 10 gallon and would eventually eat your guppy

No you cant put salt when you have angel fish. If you don't have angel fish just put salt every day but not much a little daily. Then your fish will become salt fish.
 
While Mollies definitely tolerate salt as many can tolerate brackish conditions, Guppies can tolerate a moderate amount, Angelfish, being South American Cichlids can neither tolerate salt nor live in a 10 gallon tank, rehome that fish, it needs more like a 35-40 gallon tank that's a minimum of 18" tall, a 10 gallon does not provide it with the space it needs.

Without the Angelfish, you could add some salt to the tank. Have a read through this:

You don't HAVE to have salt in the tank but if your angelfish died I would put some salt in. Salt is good for your tank by getting rid of anything bad. Ask a pet store person if you can have the salt with your angelfish just so nothing bad happens.
