Can my computer get a virus from a flash drive?

Hi There, I'm hoping someone may have some feedback on the following situation. I want to download some photos from my computer to a flash drive and go to a store and print the photos. Because the machine at the store is in a public setting, is it possible to pick up a computer virus? Thanks.
 
Doubtful a flash drive will have a virus.

Viruses usually store themselves on the host computer's main HD.. ie.. the C:\ drive.

Same goes for picking up a virus.

Don't worry, you'll be OK.
