environment? From what I have read on Microsoft's site there really isn't much of a difference between the Developer and Enterprise editions of SQL Server 2008 other than in price.
The description of the Developer edition is "A low-cost edition of SQL Server 2008 Enterprise licensed per developer for development, testing, and demonstration purposes only - it is not for production use."
I have about 6 machines that I need a SQL Server for and I cannot see myself paying $24,999.00 for the Enterprise edition or even $5,999.00 for the Standard edition as opposed to $49.95 for the Developer edition if they basically do the same thing. Would there be any real ramifications of using the Developer edition in my situation?
