My six old son wants another lizard in his tank. He currently has an adult male albino leopard gecko. He wants to get a friend for him. I was reading online that two males cannot live in the same tank together so it seems that my only option will be to get a female. So here comes the dumb question... I know that the natural thing is for the two to mate but i don't want that to happen. Is there any way I can avoid this from happening or do I have to break his heart and not get another lizard for him? I do not have the time or the resources to take care of eggs and baby geckos.
