feed the same food? I ask because I have a 30gallon long with Gouramis, Glowfish & Misc.Tetras in it. They eat tropical flakes. Is that bad for the Fancy Fan-Tail Ordanas & Koi to eat that too? I also feed my fish frozen Brime Shrimp 3-day's a week. Also throw some Frezee-dried blood worms in about twice a week.

The food is probably okay but the real problem is that goldfish don't like tropical temperatures, I assume you've got a heater in there for all those other fish? Goldfish are coldwater fish... they need their own tank with no heater.

Also goldfish are massive waste producers... to have just two goldfish would fill up that 30 gallon tank!! And koi are really pond fish... they get HUGE! Was a bad idea to have those fish in there.

Goldfish and the fish you listed are not compatible. Fan-tails and Koi shouldn't be kept together, either. As for the food...goldfish/koi should have a diet that is only about 30% protein. Tropical flakes tend to be too high in protein for goldfish, even goldfish flakes are too high in protein to be a primary food source. Feed your goldfish peas, cucumbers, zucchini and other vegetable matter as well as the flake food and get them their own tank. Or else return them to the store.
