can kindle 2 read fanfiction html pages?

So I'm looking at the kindle 2 reviews but still was wondering on something?
I read books quite a bit along with fan fiction and sometimes I prefer to read fan fiction offline by saving it all too HTML pages. So can I put the HTML saved file onto the kindle or would I need to convert the HTML's to a different file?

I mean like this firefox document but it's an HTML

These services can be accessed by sending emails to <kindleusername>@kindle.com and to <kindleusername>@free.kindle.com for Whispernet-delivered and free email-delivered file conversion, respectively. The file that the user wants to be converted needs to be attached to these emails. Users could also convert PDF and other files to the first-generation Kindle's supported formats using third-party software.
