...charger and turned on? Two weeks ago, after a night of fun [and booze], my cell phone fell into my purse that had water in it. Umm.. well, I didn't exactly do what is recommended. I simply put it into the charger, freaking out and trying to see if it was still working. And YES, the phone was ON. =[ i've heard there isn't much of a prospect.

It's sort of working right now. Everything is fine except that the battery runs out in a couple of hours no matter how long it has been charging. So.. I can't really take it out for more than a couple of hours. And even then its iffy.

Right now I took the battery out and am air-drying it (after the fact, I know) in the hopes of salvaging something. What do you think? Does it have a chance?

Fortunately, it looks like the phone will be okay--but you may need to replace the battery. You're lucky that your phone survived--I dropped mine in water, and turned it on, and basically the phone went beserk--it would vibrate for no reason, it would make these weird noises, it would turn on and off constantly, and the screen would go white. It did it for about an hour or so, before it just died completely, and I had to get a replacement phone.

my cuzn has the WEIRDEST ways but he can save phones.....my battery problem he took an eraser and rubbed it on the gold battery bars...worked like a champ.
mine got dropped in water July 5th....completely under water for 5 min....put in in th OVEN on the LOWEST setting for 15 min and take it out let it dry pop the battery back in and sim card...just fine....u can put the battery in for 5 and see....he has fixed 5 phone problems for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when phone fell into water the first thing will damage is battery . u must take it out and keep it in sunlight at least for 5 hours but u didn't;'t do that. for that now u r paying price. first keep that battery under sunlight for 5 hours . after that try to use it. if it still sam then u must through that and buy one new..
