Hello!
I just got a Trek 1.2 road bike, and the seat is kicking my ass- literally. Thus, I'm thinking of getting some cycling shorts. That being said, I'm not ready to join the spandex/Lycra army- at least not until I get into better shape.
It looks like they make shorts that look like normal shorts, except they all say that they're for mountain biking. At this point I'm not really riding for hardcore speed, so I don't care if mountain bike shorts slow me down a little bit. I just want to make sure that there's not some hidden reason I'm not getting.
Basically: Can I wear mountain bike shorts on a road bike?
"You don't even need real cycling shorts. I ride on tough terrains with skinny jeans or normal shorts and it's fine"
I clearly stated that seat is uncomfortable. Reading comprehension is fun.
