Can I use VMware Fusion *and* Boot Camp?

I have VMware Fusion with Windows XP as a virtual machine. Sometimes, I need all the hardware resources to run something, but I can't, because VMware Fusion is only an emulator. Is it possible to install Boot Camp using the same partition, and being able to use both VMware Fusion for the same Windows XP? Thanks for any help.
