Can I use the regular Guitar Hero guitar with the World Tour game?

I bought Guitar Hero World Tour for the XBox360 for my boyfriend and (as many know) it comes with drums, 1 guitar, and a microphone. I need a second guitar and was told that I can use the guitar from the original Guitar Hero game. Is this true?? Need to know ASAP, as the gift will be given on Saturday (9/12/09).

I think you can, but don't know for sure. I'd say run to or call your local Gamestop and ask them.
