Can I use software made for the Symbian S60 ver3 OS in a phone with Symbian S60 ver5?

The phone I'm planning to buy has Symbian S60 ver5 (Nokia 5800), and there are some S60 ver3 appplications I want to be able to use, especially DivX Mobile.
