i'm planning to buy a softbank or docomo phone (3G/world roaming) from Japan & use it in Canada (contract is coming to an end) & i have a few questions:
1) My Japanese tutor told me Japanese phones won't work here because they don't have a place to put SIM card, would this happen if i unlocked the phone?
2) how is the reception for both softbank & docomo phones.
3) What does FOMA mean?
4) If i use the phone in canada do i need to buy an overseas plan in japan?
