K so I want to make a painting on a cereal box panel and I want to do it on the printed side so the back doesn't show that it's a cereal box. I know I'll need a coat of something over the cardboard before I start painting but I don't have gesso, they only thing I have is primer, the kind that you use on walls/furniture. Can I use that on my cardboard or not? I'm using acrylic paints. Thanks.
Can I use primer instead of gesso?
