can i use my street riding gear for dirt biking?

ok i get that i couldn't use the jacket and kevlar jeans but could i use my boots and helmet instead of buying ones for dirt biking? my boots are Alpinestars - S-MX R Vented Boots, and my helmet is a Bell - Star Helmet.

you can...i wouldnt recommend it.
they are two different things for a reason.
you should get ridding pants though.
