Can i use my brothers car on the road test if it has a check engine light but

passed inspection in MASS,usa? Hello, im 18 yrs old and ws wondering if i can get my license in the state of MA if the car im using had a check engine light on it but already passed inspection? its my brothers car and the only reason why its because they need to have the emergency brake on the middle of the car and i dont know anyone with a car like that and also i dont have the money to rent a car which is like $80. plus another 70 to get the license plus another 80 to have a class before the road test. Please help, thank you
