Can I use moccasins for hiking?

Hello. I have a pair of knee-high Minnetonka moccasins. Can I use these for hiking instead of hiking boots? Personally, I think they are cooler and more comfortable.

Cute, but man I'd wear something with a sole for hiking! Your feet will kill you and might get cold and wet!
