Can i use engine degreaser for cleaning a bicycle chain?

I saw Astonish engine degreaser, would this work as well as specific chain degreaser which is 10x more expensive?

Id take the chain of before applying so killing paintwork isnt a problem(not that theres much left on my bike anyway)

The part of a chain that needs the most cleaning is in the rollers.

Wiping with a rag gets the superficial grease off, period.

Soak it down. Flush it with water if Astonish is a water based cleaner (I'm not familiar with that brand). If not water based wipe it down. Allow enough drying time so inside the rollers dries thoroughly.

Lubricate the chain with a proper chain lubricant. Finish Line Dry Teflon is one great chain lube.
