can i use bbq charcoal ashes to fertilize garden?

No definately do not use these..with charcoal all of it does not burn off completely..You will be putting some very bad contaminants in your ground that could be bad for you, as well as your plants..Read the first answers to the question on this forum..bbq charcoal is NOT PURE WOOD ASH..thee are contaminants..I also noticed one here ..says..put bbq charcoal ashes on ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO GROW..
