Can I use an HTC Hermes 8525 with Verizon?

I have an old HTC Hermes 8525 smart phone that was previously with Cingular and then AT&T. I am using Verizon at the moment, is there any way I can get this phone to work with Verizon?
Will unlocking the SIM/CID help?
