I am going to be getting a 1080p hd tv this month and I dont want to pay extra for the HD service through my satellite company, plus the additional charges for the box with dvr service. I know I wont get the fancy picture but that's okay for now. So before I buy I just wanted to make sure it was worth getting if my current box is not compatible with that tv.
Can I use a standard direct tv dvr box for an HDTV?
