Can I use a right front foot peg bracket from a 98 Kawsaki Ninja zx6 on my 98

Kawasaki Ninja zx9? Ok, I see ads for right front foot peg brackets for the 98 Kawasaki Ninja zx9 and says it can fit the 98 zx6 as well for, lets say 65 bucks....then I see a bracket from some other manufacturer that says it will fit 94-02 zx6 and zzr600's.....but doesn't say it will fit the 98 zx9...so my question is...if the one for the zx9 will fit the zx6...why won't (or will it?) the bracket for the 94-04 zx6 fit the 98 zx9? Will it fit? It just seems like if the zx9 bracket will fit the zx6, then the bracket that is for 94-04 zx6 should fit the zx9...right? ok, hope I didn't make this sound too confusing.
