Can I use a Nextel Blackberry on Verizon?

so i found this blackberry in the park a few weeks ago. the service had already been turned off when i found it and i figured it wasn't gonna be found so i took it just in case. i ironically happened to lose my droid yesterday so i want to know if i can use this phone on the verizon network and if it can even be activated again?
 
a) the phone is probably blacklisted as being lost

b) if you try to activate it on Nextel, you will be required to turn it in.

c) nextel blackberries do not work on the verizon network because even though sprint uses the same cdma technology, if it is a nextel phone it won't work.

Just call up nextel and report it.
