Can I use a multi effects pedal with a cabinet without using an amp head?

Can I use a boss multi effects pedal with a cabinet speaker without using an amp head?
I play guitar and have a Boss ME25 pedal. I want to play gigs without having to fork out loads of money for an amplifier head or a high watt combo amp.
