Can I use a MIDI to USB cable for my Roland HD-1 to connect to EZdrummer?

i'm new to this stuff.....as far as i know i need a midi cable and an interface but how about a midi to usb cable?

I want to map the kit/sounds of the drum pads of my Roland HD1 with EZdrummer or addictive drums or any drum mapping software.
