Can I use a high quality artificial turf (indoor/outdoor carpet) as a bathroom flooring?

In my mind, it would look really great. New synthetic grass / artificial turfs are MUCH better looking than they used to be and some even feel really great on your bare feet. Would they work well for a bathroom flooring? How are they installed.....and how are they maintained. Can you mop them? And am I crazy as my wife implies? And how do I get her to go for it? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Remembering that the turf will hold moisture for a while you need to keep in mind that you could have rotting problems from your sub flooring and baseboards. We had turf on our porch that looked great and was easy to keep clean. Just run the sweeper once a week and it looked great. However, after experiencing a small group of infant snakes IN our home we found out that the turf had held enough moisture to make small inlets to our home and the reason for the small, but scary and expensive, problem we experienced.
