can i use a bluetooth ear peice as a headset for my computer?

i microphone headset recently crapped out on me and i dont have the money to get another one at the moment. i have a bluetooth earpiece im not using.
i have a usb bluetooth receiver, would this work?

Yes it would, supposing you have Stereo bluetooth, just turn on your bluetooth and pair the device
